Tips for Creating Good Content
A Good way to Structure Your Research
Provide the full company name, the exchange the stock is listed on, the stock nemonic/ticker and the sector the company operates in
Example: Central Asia Metals, LSE:CAML, Mining
Provide a paragraph summerising the research, something snappy, to grab peoples attention.
Example:
A debt free, base metals production company set to benefit from a rising copper, zinc and lead metals market paying healthy dividends.
Provide some high-level bullet points on the invetsment case that will encourage further reading.
Provide an introduction to the research, perhaps trends or macro reasons why this research is of interest. This doesnt have to be long!
This is the 'nuts and bolts' of the investment so more detail here is appropriate.
Provide an introduction to the company, detail on its projects/products or the services it offers.
It's a good idea to provide information about who is running the company, their experience/track record and whether they have any 'skin in the game'
If possible provide some detail on the market relevant to the company and any macro-economic reeasons
that support the investment case.
Example: The supply/demand dynamics of the copper market right now and into the future
look good with current copper producers set to benefit from rising prices. Geopolitical tensions
and export restrictions imposed by China, further strengthen the investment case etc etc.
Summarise any risks associated with the investment. With Small and Nano-cap stocks there will be some!
Highlighting risks helps makes your research balanced
Examples include:
Liquidity Risk (it's a very small Market Cap with limited liquidity)
Geopolitical Risk (less stable countries or even war-zones or policy risks)
Funding (The ability for the company to raise capital to remain as a going-concern)
There are plenty more, these are just some examples!
Think about incorporating any images or other links that support your research
and help potential investors visualise technical information and the investment case.
This could be things like price-charts, market research graphics, relevant article links to support the case.
As you close the research, highlight here the key points in a few paragaraphs that make the investment-case a compelling one.
It's a good idea to close out your research with some form of disclosure such as you may hold stock in the company!
